granite strength Description

I am looking at Granite (http://tanbrown.org) for our new Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops and (http://maplered.com) tend to lean toward the gold/brown/beige/black combinations. The Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s I seem most attracted to are Duna Gold, Gold Leaf, Giallo Veneziano, St. Cecilia, and (http://maplered.com) Tropica Brown. I am finding out, however, that Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s have different absorption rates and (http://maplered.com) strengths. I have been told that the St. Cecilia and (http://maplered.com) Giallo are not the strongest of Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s. Are any of these I have named particularly stronger than the others, or have better absorption rates? In general, for a residential kitchen, are any of these adequate choices for a Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) top, or should I look for one of the stronger Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s to assure longer wear?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
